This summer, Colin and I will be preparing to make the coming year a little bit more easy for you, in especially in the area of communication and our database.
Registration forms for next program year will be available online very shortly. We have streamlined the form a little bit. We will not be requesting mailing addresses on the forms themselves, but encourage you to check to make sure it is correct in the church directory. We want to start the year strong with a very clear and comprehensive database. We will be asking your help on this in July and August. Please read the weekly email blast! This email is the main way we share important information about upcoming events, from major holiday celebrations to more recurring reminders such as Monday night dessert rotations and inter-generational services. Please send us an email with your working address (Tracy@allsoulsnyc.org and Colin@allsoulsnyc.org) if you do not start receiving these by the start of the year or if you have not been receiving them and intend to participate in RE this coming year. In order to communicate more swiftly with our program members given that fast access to email and long commutes sometimes make spur-of-the-moment updates hard to receive reliably, we will be adopting an SMS (short message service) program that you can choose to sign up for on your registration forms. If there are maintenance or subway issues, last-minute cancellations or classroom changes, this is how we will notify you. We will also include some of the reminders that may not have reached you via email blast, such as inter-gen services and special events. We will only include your contact information in this service if you choose to sign up for it on your registration form. Thank you all, and we hope that these changes will allow us to communicate effectively and to make sure that the time saved logistically will be time put directly into making this an easygoing and fulfilling year for all! Tracy and Colin
