All Souls NYC's Religious Education program emphasizes creativity, personal expression, mutual respect, environmental responsibility, and service. Our mission is to foster the lifelong exploration of spiritual thought and values through a program that promotes development by means of free inquiry, mutual respect, and responsible behavior. This year we will be using the arts as a vehicle by which to explore the 7 Principles of Unitarian Universalism. Children will be grouped my ages and there will be two adults in the room. During the 2022-2023 year, children will work with visiting artists and their teacher volunteers to explore a variety of perspectives that will promote personal confidence and instill a deep respect for their own beliefs and the beliefs of others. We strive to welcome everyone regardless of race, culture, economic status, gender identity or sexual orientation. As an extension of this welcoming attitude, we call our children and youth by the name they prefer and use whatever gender pronouns they are most comfortable with. Our goal is to know and appreciate each individual person in our program.
